amanasalto is pleased to present “Sentimental Journey – The Complete Contact Sheets”, a solo exhibition of works by Nobuyoshi Araki at IMA Gallery. Araki’s legendary self-published monograph, “Sentimental Journey”, limited to 1000 copies, was released back in 1971 and is now recognized worldwide as an epoch-making masterpiece. 18 contact sheets, i.e. a total of 653 cuts will be presented for the first time.

The IMA gallery specializes in the sales of art photography curated by IMA Projects. The gallery organizes exhibitions featuring young Japanese talents and renowned photographers in the world. A variety of lectures and workshops by leading figures from the photography industry and beyond are also held at the space. IMA gallery is a place where you can enjoy and learn about art photography in various ways.

IMAbooks IMAbooks

“IMA books”is a pop-up shop for the IMA PHOTOBOOKS publishing label operated by IMA Projects. It features unique books primarily of works by young Japanese artists associated with IMA gallery and also sells both the current and previous issues of IMA magazine.
